San Francisco can easily boast that it has one of the prettiest City Hall buildings in the country, and I’m lucky enough to have been photographing civil ceremonies there going as far back as 2009, and I also got married there! It’s a STUNNING location and one of my favorite San Francisco venues to photograph. But there’s also a Mid-Century Modern masterpiece just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Marin County Civic Center. Marin County is a little more under the radar and also performs weekday civil weddings. So whether you’re feeling like the classical Beau Arts style of San Francisco City Hall, or you or more drawn to the Mid-Century Modern lines of the Marin County Civic Center, either are beautiful places to have an elopement or civil wedding in the Bay Area.
